Lafarge Driving Institute!!! Official Launch on the 31st of October!
According to Bruno Hounkpati, the Logistics Director, the primary aim of the Driving Institute is to change drivers’ behavior while equipping them with adequate training on truck driving. The school will ensure skilled drivers, sound trucks and safe roads in Nigeria. It will promote professionalism among truck drivers and create jobs.
The Project Manager, Osaze Aghatise, believes that one major way to reduce incidents and achieve road safety improvement is to get everyone, including our stakeholders to think safety first. And to achieve this, one requires training to understand the risks involved in performing a task safely.
The official launch is scheduled to hold on October, 31st at the former Unicem head office in Calabar. The first batch of 200 drivers will be part of a three-year strategic training plan.
