In recognition of our development of alternative fuel supply and utilization system to substitute the use of fossil fuels, Lafarge Africa Plc was the recipient of the Most Innovative in Manufacturing Award at the Businessday Top 25 Most Innovative Companies and Institutions Award 2017.

Best Company in Stakeholder Engagement and Most Outstanding Company of the Decade

Lafarge Africa Plc emerged Best Company in Stakeholder Engagement in Nigeria at the 10th edition of the Social Enterprise Report Awards (SERAs), in recognition of its unflinching commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), stakeholder engagement and consistent contribution to sustainable development. It was also one of the three companies that got an award as the Most Outstanding Company of the Decade (10th anniversary honorary award) at the event

Social Enterprise & Responsibility Awards

At this year's edition of the prestigious Social Enterprise Responsibility Awards (SERAs), Lafarge Africa won three awards as: Best Company in Environmental Sustainability, Best Company in Sustainability Reporting, and Overall second runner-up at the 2015 edition of the annual awards ceremony. The awards upheld our corporate responsiveness to Social, Economical and enviromental responsibilities. It can be recalled that Lafarge Africa emerged as the Overall Best Company in 2013.

Nigeria Safety Award for Excellence Hall of Fame 2015

The 2015 Nigeria Safety Award for Excellence, also referred to as 9JA SAFE AWARDS 2015 under ISPON Act 2014”. This is Nigeria's first ever-independent award which recognizes companies with outstanding Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) initiatives.
Lafarge Africa Plc was recognized for Best Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Practice in the manufacturing sector for the year.

Nigerian Society of Engineers NSE - Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Lafarge Africa Plc was the recipient of the awards for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the Nigerian Society of Engineers' 2015 Engineering
Week. This recognition came as an upshot of result-driven support to the engineering professionals in the building and construction industry.

CICAN's Best Organization on Corporate Social Responsibility

Our media partners covering the industry beat under the auspices of Commerce and Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CICAN) have also been watchful of our activities in the society. They deemed it fit to commend Lafarge Africa for CSR efforts. Lafarge Bagged the Best Organization on Corporate Social Responsibility during the associations' 2015 GalaNite/Awards ceremony.

BJAN 2015 Excellence Awards for Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative

Brand Journalists Association of Nigerian (BJAN), an affiliate body to the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) presented Lafarge Africa Plc with an Excellence Awards for Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative as the Best Environmentally Friendly Company. This honor was in recognition of our immense contributions to environmental awareness in the country.

NND The Best CSR Company of the Year

Another newspaper organization, Nigerian News Direct, also commended Lafarge Africa for corporate social responsibility initiatives at the s 5th annual lecture and anniversary event organized by the newspaper recently. We also bagged an award for The Best CSR Company of the Year, adding to the tally of our teeming CSR awards.

2015 PEARL AWARDS - Sectoral Leadership in Industrial Goods (Building Material)

Ashaka Cement Plc was honored as the winner of 2015 Sectoral Leadership in Industrial Goods (Building Material) category. At this year's edition of the Performance, Earnings and Returns Leadership (PEARL) Awards, This award, distinctly backed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) gives commendations to companies quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Such companies are expected to have shown good standing in financial performance. Winners emerge after analysis carried out by other parties based on verifiable facts and figures acquired from financial reports of companies
as presented at AGMs; NSE Daily Listing and finally and the NSE 52-week trading reports.

BUSINESDAY's Top 25 CEOs

Nigeria's topmost business newspaper organized an event to honour Top 25 Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of companies listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. MD AshakCem, Leonard Palka was acclaimed as one of the Top 25 CEOs for leading the team that drove AshakaCem's upright performance in 2014.

AABLA – Business Woman of the year 2015

Adepeju Adebajo, as CEO Cement, was distinguished at the 2015 All Africa Business Leaders Awards (AABLA) organized by CNBC Africa as she earned
the prestigious Business Woman of the Year - West Africa. The award is an annual programme organized in South, East and West Africa where individuals are honored for impactful business excellence in the African region.

Top 50 Brands Nigeria 2015

Lafarge Africa emerged as one of the top 50 reputable brands in the country, after an annual selection and showcasing by TOP 50 BRANDS NIGERIA. The organisation, in partnership with Certified Board of Administrators of Nigeria (CBAN) is a media for reviewing business performance, measuring healthiness, classification and rating of companies in Nigeria.

CAC Best Complying Company Award

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) bestowed the award for Best Complying Company of the Year 2014 to Lafarge Africa early this year. Lafarge Africa received this award for her significant efforts in promoting a culture of statutory compliance. This is was achieved by ensuring that all our business practices are conducted in compliance with statuary requirements and best practices as stated in the Company and Allied Matter Act, 1990 - Cap C20, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

2015 Group Q2 Sales Challenge

We were also duly recognized within the Group by being among the winning countries in the 2015 2nd Quarter Sales Challenge. Lafarge Africa picked up the Bronze Medal for WAPCO Operations' Sales Teams for their effort in increasing our sales and market share which was significant in the Group's result. The recognition is meant to stimulate positive competition; help the teams share best practices; promote excellence among the teams as well as to recognize winning initiatives of the teams

MEA Conference: Sustainability Recognition/ Honorable Mention

Lafarge Africa also got a Group mention/recognition for efforts in the Nigeria Biomass Project at the recent Middle East & Africa conference in Paris.
