Lafarge Africa Plc Partners Ebonyi State Government on Training of Engineers and Technicians

In line with its strategic objective to continue to develop skills in the building and construction industry, Lafarge Africa Plc is partnering with the Ebonyi state government to train their engineers, technicians, and contractors in Quality construction practices and cement applications.   Lafarge Africa Plc is working with the Ebonyi State Ministry of Works for the 4-day training, which will also include Health & Safety in construction.

Director of Marketing at Lafarge Mr. Vipul Agrawal said the move is part of efforts to promote safe sustainable quality construction in Nigeria. “Lafarge Africa Plc is delighted at the opportunity to share our wealth of knowledge and experience with the contractors, technicians and artisans working with Ebonyi state government because we believe this will ultimately impact positively on the Housing and Infrastructure industry in the state,” said Mr. Agrawal.  The Technical Services Manager of Lafarge Africa Plc., Engr. Bukola Adebisi who is conducting the training said the incorporation of “Safety in Construction” as part of the training modules will help promote adherence to safety standards in the construction industry in the state.   The Ebonyi State Commissioner of Works Engr. Fidelis Kings Nweze (mnse) has appreciated the Value, the Lafarge training is bringing to his engineers and contractors and contributing to sustainable quality construction in the state.
