Folashade is a multifaceted international leader with over two decades experience spanning across strategy and performance management, finance, business culture transformation, change, sustainability and corporate affairs. She was appointed Director of Communications, Public Affairs & Sustainable Development for Lafarge Africa Plc (Subsidiary of LafargeHolcim Plc.) in 2016. During her career she has worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Diageo Plc. Ford Motors and the Department for International Development – DFID UK.
Beyond her day job, Folashade also served on the 24 Executive Board Committee of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG) and serves as a board member of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Private Sector Advisory Group (PSAG) Nigeria and the board of the United Nations Global Compact Nigeria. She also sits on the Board of the European Business Organisation (EBO) in Nigeria where she serves as the president.
Fola is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School Advanced Management Program and also completed a post-graduate Women Transforming Leadership program with the Said Business School, Oxford. She has recently been recognised as one of the top 50 inspiring women in Nigeria by Business Day, Guardian Woman Top Inspiring List of women, Leading Ladies Africa – Top 100 Women list and also by the United Nations Most Influential People of African Descent Climate Action Edition. Also very recently, Fola was appointed a Senator representing Nigeria at the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), an affiliated partner of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI),that aims to ease access to finance, promote financial inclusion, and create more jobs and social justice.
Folashade is passionate about uplifting and collaborating with women; which is why she founded Women Inspiring Impact Network (WiiN) (a not for profit platform NGO) spending her spare time speaking, coaching and empowering women to discover their best self and achieve indelible leadership impact.
